I disagree on Sister Location being a later creation from Scott. In the Dawko interview he says that when he was in the process of making Fnaf3 he already had plans for a “Fnaf 4 and a Fnaf 5”. So sister location was already in Scott’s mind before Fnaf 3 even came out.

Following Fnaf means you have to accept the franchise changed forever after the fourth game. It's tragic, from a certain point of view

the best theory that i agree with is that fnaf 1-4 truly are just games, like they said in help wanted. the first few games being retconned into "i was just making games lmao" is such a funny idea to me and it kind of works. if you dont use any details from 1-4 except the overarching themes of kids being killed and possessing animatronics i feel like a lot of the timeline can be cleaned up. no more counting toes or whatever tiny details you look for because 1-4 was made by an indie dev who was just making games to draw the attention away from the in universe reality that kids HAVE died at freddys. im no fnaf theorist but i want to see someone make a timeline not using any info from fnaf 1-4 just to see if it is even possible and if it would make any damn sense

You stoll need to remember that fnaf 1-6 and maybe fnaf world were in universe games made by a 'rogue indie game developer' so either that was scot saving himself by saying this guy made mistakes on his own or maybe he really did mess up.

Everything involving Sister Location pisses me off. We were trying so hard to crack Fnaf 4 and when we were struggling Scott released a game that not only confuses the timeline further, but is arguably one of the most contentious entries in the whole series. Dittophobia CERTAINLY did not help. I'm perfectly willing to accept this theory about Dittophobia and Fredbear plush because it seems like the most coherent and logical theory that will never be proven because this timeline has either been solved already or will never be solved.

You forgot the *original* crying child that went on to become the puppet. I always thought that *that* was the first death since the puppet was the one to give life to the others and thus creating the first haunted animatronics. Edit: And chicka would have to have been the second since "I was the first. I have seen everything.' and all that.

as i heard from some youtubers, the comics that show the designs of un-withered freddy and Theodor the bunny - they're not canon and are basically fanart, having nothing to do with canon, despite the artist being a friend and worker of Scott. Therefore, you can't just compare the comics' characters' design with the in-game designs and book-descriptions

The real question is how Afton managed to hire so many workers who were willing to build secret underground bunkers and replica houses for him and not a single one of them ratted out his shady behavior

It was 100% confirmed for me that Gregory is a robot recreation of the crying child when I learned that “the crying child” in the FNAF movie is named Garrett, Mikes younger brother is Garrett in the movie, Gregory in the games lol

Simple 3 games are original story, and other ones are Scott retirement fund. The books are just Scott own fan fiction.

Like, the page about the crying child with him only being in 4, I thought Cassidy was the crying child in that scene Unrelated epiphany that you ended up connecting I think That VR game, I didn’t play it but I’ve watched gameplay, you play as a kid that gets lured in by the rabbit, then it cuts to you being Freddy on stage I figured we were playing as Cassidy there So the little crying child actually being Golden Freddy physically standing there instead of a little ghost crying child Shivers man, you gave me shivers I think the crying child specifically knew and liked Golden Freddy, maybe he was friends with Cassidy when he was alive, and the Funtime Freddy somehow knows that and is manipulating him, or the crying Child knows the person inside the suit during the day, Henry I think there’s significance to the eyes behind Golden Freddy’s mouth, you can see the face, is that just for us or can the kid see it too? Does the kid know Henry? Or just thinks there’s a dead body in the suit Idk I lost my train of thought, the last couple paragraphs may have been gibberish, but this video has been cathartic, onto part 2!!

Honestly, I think what Scott should've done to ensure the lore is more streamlined and concise with little to no holes, instead of making a bunch of brand-new games and books to try and answer some questions while bringing up new ones, was to pretty much remake the original games so that they could better address those questions. Because he's clearly not going to come out one day and say "Ok: this is exactly what goes on and when."

I don't exactly have an opinion on what or what isn't a good theory, I really like your approach. Keep making awesome theories!

The FNAF2 dream sequences could be non canon or not related to the base game at all. Lots of details Scott incorporates into the games are irrelevant and often theorists fixate on said details too much. This is just my opinion since I believe the dream sequences were created solely for the players.

10:10 The design on the Faztoken does NOT have to be the original Freddy. Logically, a modern Chuck E. Cheese coin would not have the original design from the late 70’s on it. It also does not make sense to have a coin from 1983 to say “since 1983.” The coin was created after 1983 and could use any iteration of Freddy Fazbear.

I think the "since 1983" on the Faztokens is just saying how long the franchise has been open. There's no reason that has to be the original design of the coins. Characters and designs change over the course of a company's lifetime.

You should watch the FNAF theory video that the channel Dual Process Theory put out. It takes a completely new look at the franchise pre-Steel Wool, and their theories wrap up and cover most everything, even the box.

Is there a particular reason we assume that the 8bit story sections in FNAF4 happen in the same time (as in like year and date of) as the gameplay sections?

Remember, nobody would buy these books if he didn't make the lore difficult. Anyone ever solving it would instantly cause a drop in sales, this story will never be concluded for that reason
